So I don't really know a lot of what's "hot" in music right now like I used to (ask about me lol), but I saw this new Kelly track (titled Dirty Laundry) posted on my Twitter timeline and I haven't heard any of her recent stuff so I thought I'd check it out and all I can say is wow! Talk about RAW honesty!
In it she's basically talking about her jealousy towards Beyonce, life after Destiny's Child, Domestic Abuse and perhaps depression. According to Billboard, Kelly said "it took her days to record the haunting memories and she couldn't even sing without crying" (aww).
I don't wanna break down the song, there's probably tons of blogs that have done that. It just got me thinking about how everything isn't always what it seems especially when it comes to "celebrities" (everyday people too!). Everyone wants the money and the fame but they don't always see what goes on behind the scenes, when these people aren't posing for the camera, shooting a video or whatever the case may be, like Bizzle said, they are just regular people like you and I, they go through drama like anyone else. If you're miserable, generally unhappy without millions of dollars I'm pretty sure you're going to be just as miserable with it! My point being, for those whose life goal is to get rich, money can buy you every material thing you desire but it can't change what's going on, on the inside.... Think of all the suicides and overdoses that happen to some of the world's most talented and rich, All we see is the fame, but we have no idea what's going on their real lives.. Don't let the smiles, bragging and laughter deceive you. Just something to think about.
